Hi, I’m Deb. I write stuff.
My illustrious career began in the third grade with my award-winning poster for St. Stan’s annual Polka Fest & Bunco Party. Soon after, I retreated into the journalism department at Ball State – a school once ranked as One of the Best Party Schools in America. It was there that I would fine-tune my craft and hone my sense of humor. And sarcasm.
I've graced the agency halls of DDB Chicago, Tribal, Edelman and Havas, to name drop a few. I've lived the freelance life of laptop on lap for clients that included Discover and Hyatt. Even graced more than one red carpet as a stringer for WWD and DNR magazines. I've also been told I’m both charming and hysterical - by people other than my immediate family.
A fashionista at heart, I served on the board of directors for Fashion Group International of Chicago, where I doubled as editor of its quarterly newsletter. I currently spend weeknights trying to convince my mom that, yes, people do earn a living this way, and no, I’m not moving back home.
