Hi, I’m Deb. I write stuff.
Attention-getting, results-driven copy for advertising, digital, editorial and social – whatever will keep the power on and VISA off my back.
My illustrious career began in the third grade with my award-winning poster for St. Stan’s annual Polka Fest & Bunco Party. Soon after, I retreated into the journalism department at Ball State – a school once ranked as One of the Best Party Schools in America. It was there that I would fine-tune my craft and hone my sense of humor. And sarcasm.
Most recently, I graced the halls of DDB Chicago as an ACD/Copywriter working primarily on McDonald’s. Prior to that, I was a freelance writer living a life of laptop on the sofa for clients that included Discover, Hyatt, and WWD and DNR magazines. I also write killer status updates on Facebook.
A fashionista at heart, I served on the board of directors for Fashion Group International of Chicago, where I doubled as editor of its quarterly newsletter. I currently spend weeknights trying to convince my mom that, seriously people do earn a living this way, and am quite happy to call Chicago home.
